Baby steps..he learns to walk again
Slurred speech...he learns to talk again
Hands immobile...he learns to move this fingers again
I see you when you think I ain't looking
Un shed tears cloud your eyes
Angry at what you are now
I wish I were a clown
Laughter once forgotten will be found
But I would be the daughter instead
And tell you what I see ahead
I see you as you were...nothing can replace that
Even the stroke you suffer won't erase that
I cry for the pains you feel
But I know that with love, you will heal
So wipe your weeping eyes dad
Cos I see through your facade
Just trust and know we will triumph
Over this horrible uninvited guest.
